Customer story · ZenithAI

Supporting safer orbits with specialized AI.

ZenithAI is an independent, non-profit research organization working to predict and prevent collisions between space debris and active satellites. Its machine learning and small language model work uses fine-tuned models from the Kedy E1 family.

Orbital mechanics and specialized AI come together to help identify collision risks and support preventive action.

01

A clearer view of orbital risk

Space debris puts active satellites at risk. ZenithAI combines orbital mechanics calculations, machine learning, and real-time data processing to track objects and assess potential collisions. Its research focuses on identifying risks early enough to support preventive decisions.

02

Fine-tuned Kedy E1 models

For the machine learning (ML) and small language model (SLM) parts of its work, ZenithAI used fine-tuned versions of the Kedy E1 model family. These adapted models form part of the organization’s AI work alongside orbital data analysis and predictive analytics.

03

From monitoring to maneuver recommendations

ZenithAI’s system brings together continuous monitoring, early warnings, and AI-powered maneuver recommendations. The aim is to help satellite operators avoid potential collisions while minimizing fuel consumption, turning orbital risk analysis into timely alerts and actionable recommendations.
